Tangier, Morocco
Tanja Waterfront
The Tanja Waterfront is a new gateway to the historic city of Tangier, Morocco for the many tourists and travellers who arrive via ship. This large public space will play welcome mat to a large and diverse international audience, and must be easy to navigate as well as rich in texture, history, and context. RSM Design created a vision for the entire project and worked closely with the architects, landscape architects, and lighting designers to design a system of signage and way nding that was modern but rooted in Tangierian history. The team developed a pattern that drew from the intricate patterning found throughout the traditional architectural details of the city, and it was used as motif throughout the signage on the waterfront.
