Montclair Place

Montclair Place, located in the suburbs of Los Angeles, is a retail development featuring a food hall as well as a number of shopping and entertainment offerings. Built in the 1960’s, it was, at its inception, the only indoor retail center in Riverside County. Finding itself in need of a visual update, RSM Design and Retail Design Collaborative worked together to update the center. The team created a new brand identity and graphics package for the Moreno Street Market, and a wayfinding signage system that complements the existing architecture with warm woods and metals. The handcrafted approach to the design helps create a sense of community with an emphasis on F&B and entertainment. Since the update, the project’s new identity pieces and murals have become popular on social media, driving new guests to visit and creating more return visitors.
