Porta di Roma
Porta di Roma, located on the north side of Rome adjacent to the peripheral highway that encircles the city, is a 1.3 million square feet mixed-use development that includes commercial, residential, cafes, restaurants, campus, hotels, and additional private and public spaces. RSM Design created wayfinding, graphics, specialty paving, and plaza features that integrated into the unique architectural design centered around a rectangular courtyard that rises vertically above the height of the building. A glass roof on the courtyard allows light effects that create an intimate, hospitable, and positive feel through out the entire indoor space. RSM Design used the architectural design as inspiration for the graphics package by using clean lines, layered elements, transparency, and patterns with polished materials in order to bring the sunlight outdoors into the interior space.
